 Rainbows in Water

Clown

We go to the circus
and what do we see
A a painted individual
that is just like me
Their antics and bobbles
of which would turn us red
Is the height of comedy
keeping their spirits fed.

So as you stumble
in a tumble or fall
Remember the clown
that is posted on a wall
He does all those things
and many many more
So you made someone laugh
not making them sore.

A tiny bit of laughter
won't pull someone down
And only embarrassment
can be kept from a clown
So if you do stumble
and turn red with dread
Remember to bow
for your audience instead.
