Dance with me the foxtrot
My graceful poetic friend
We will waltz with our words
And if they dry up
We will find a new pen

We will pirouette upon paper
As our ballet
Of artistic communication,unfolds

And if our pointe shoes unravel
We will write into the rhythm
of groovin' rock and roll

On days when we are solemn
The beat we will make slow
And our silence will be our movement
As the ink to God does flow

When my fingers are so tired
And can no longer continue dancing
You take the lead and inspire
As onto parchment your poems
Keep up their prancing

Though even when I'm wearied
My timeless artistic friend
Through your eloquent words
I will dance with you
Until the end.
