 Julias' Poetry from the Heart

A Moments Rest

As I rest my body
Upon a large tree
That stands behind me
My mind is once again crowded
Of thoughts of you,
With jumbled thoughts
Drifting through my mind
Of days gone by
I clutch tightly to the pen
Which rests between my fingers,
My body begins to feel tired
As I drift for a moment
Into a peaceful slumber,
Within minutes I am awoken
By the sound of muffled voices
In the distance,
And as I lift my notebook
That rests beside me,
My hand begins to sway back and forth
Filling the blank page before me with words
