Mermaid Princess Mornyng Rain
The cutest little Mermaid,
Dressed in her party best,
Flipped and flopped around the rocks,
Then stopped to take a rest.
The sweetest little lobster,
Stopped to say hello,
And then a friendly dolphin,
Splashed her tiny nose.
The pretty little Mermaid,
Smiled at a frightened snail,
Then suddenly the snail slid off,
And left his silver trail.
The little Mermaid Princess,
Straightened up her crown.
Then she dived into the sea,
Towards her magic town.
All her playmates followed,
And tossed a glitter ball.
Each took turns at throwing,
And listened to their call.
Starfish joined the action,
And sea horses followed swift,
The octopus with all his arms,
Gave the ball a fearsome lift.
The pretty Mermaid Princess,
Finally reached the town.
It was beneath a waterfall,
Twas the coolest town around!
Joy Weare.
16th October, 2004.
