An Autumn breeze within my heart
brings Winter nearer my soul
Within the darkness I flee
awaiting the warmth's familiarity.
Giving security to things I know
Gathering messages of fear
On carpeted valleys it lies ahead
upon the red horizon it draws near
Bringing the cold of beyond
makes my heart stop with tears.
I dream of Redwoods
standing proud and strong
Watching the flashes of existence
wondering where Humanity has gone.
I wish I were a mountain
with its eternity within time
So I may seek wisdom
without fear within my mind.
I envy the birds their freedom
the fish for not having a care
Looking at the squirrel playing
where Humanity would never dare;
I seek the courage of the feline
with their cunning strength and speed
Then I look at Humanity
finding their mind is all they need.
To bring with us new paths
upon destiny we run route
Tightening all life's stings
to find all there is out.
Then the glass grows shaded
to bring more care into the world
Finding love in faith's grasps
where all is of one world.
