DENIAL

Today is a gift given

To you and Me,

And the only one like it

There will ever be.

So use it wisely,

And spread some cheer,

Because days quickly

Turn into years

An individual's power can dominate one's entire existence,
Someone so dear, yet so far in comprehending significance.
While concentrating on one's own life's past traumas,
Skepticism cannot seize, if not bestowed by free will.

Self-denial yields agony to enhance at its own free will,
And feelings of failure feeds the existence with no will.
With added anger and suffering, its survival enlarges,
Leaving the conscience no room to set it free.

A heart of gold so rare to have, no harm done intentionally,
No dilemmas in getting along with all, some may say,
Though, by not having a clue of harm others cause,
By this, one is blinded and attention sought indelicately.

Believing in God keeps one's strength going stronger,
Thankful for His powers, for His guidance steers no wrong.
Striving to do good for others, with no true acknowledgment,
Is a sadness felt by those who have genuine affection.

Traumas invade many lives, some leaving no breath for air.
Those left behind, to linger in one's conscience,
Often seeking some type of serenity as each day passes by.
Denial of embarking negativity, lack likelihood of being rescued.

"Who said life was going to be easy?"
A statement so true, but some misconstrue!
Logic and reality for life must be articulate in definition.
So permit morality to penetrate, and close the door to Denial.
