I couldn't believe it
When I got the news today
In an instant
My heart started to break
In a matter of seconds
Your world was changed
Now mine as well
Will not be the same
I've never been a girl
To kneel down and pray
God, if you hear me
He needs you today
I hope that he knows
How much that I care
How it tears me in two
That I can't be there
So watch over him for me
Send him all my love
Heal his bruised broken body
With powers from above
I'm not ready to let go Lord
He is so very young
I'd pray from this day on
If you'd just answer this one
