No Turning BackWe came to far to turn back now, to the place of heartache, dread and fear. As we call upon the name of Jesus, He is our redeemer and, He stays near. When the arrows of the enemy fly about our head, In place of stumbling and doubt we go to God instead. He hides us in His shadow, the enemy in our life He defeats, As we take the promises of God, hide them in our heart and from our mouth, do speak. In our fire of trials that we must face and stand, Jesus says ‘Peace be still,' and to the enemy we demand. You must stop in the name of Jesus, your destruction in our life, And we must stand in the strength of the Lord against all strife. We never face a battle or trial alone without the Lord, As we stand, keeping our eyes on Him and praying in one accord. Debra McGee Trammell 1-27-97 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
