Thoughts of You
Light me a candle
watch as the warmth flickers bright
it's the only thing that will keep me warm tonight
the thoughts of you hangs so thick
fogs of you blanket me
the graveyard shift fits me well
the breeze my companion
my love has left me to endlessly roam
and I am lost, my mind in chaos
crippled by the loneliness
the thoughts of you won't let me rest
it's all consuming in my every breath
is there anything left?? is there anything to hold on to??
at this point my sanity sailed
and my body just can't move like it used to
I used to be another person
left that shell and just can't find it anymore
because I can't get pass the thoughts of you.
