As One
We will be as one
You and I
To this heart you give wings
as the dove it will once again fly
This path of life
on which I trod alone
The lonely days and nights
that chills to the bone
This is not the way
ones life should be
as a lone vessel
upon the sea
I await you to stir
the smoldering embers to fire,
and bring forth the now sleeping
passion and desire
Our meeting ...
Will it be destiny's fate?
Will you be my
long searched for soul mate?
This path on which
I pray to embark...
Will it be the budding
of true love's spark?
Or be just another
of life's stumbling stones
Leaving me to pick my self up
only to go it alone
I yearn for one
that is pure of heart
for that is only where
true love makes it's start
If the heart is not
patient and kind
When love approaches
it will be viewed as absent and blind
Only two joined hearts
of the purest of form
will be able to weather
all of life's love storms
When hearts join
in honest pure connection
It is not a union
of accidential perfection.
With patience and faith
we will not be undone
God will send to one another
a love to unite as one.
