To Live In Freedom Today
We all must face
our past
to
live in
freedom today
All the
hidden fears
will come
out
and be
on display
We must
face
our past
with
all our
heartache
and
our pain
The pain
will be so
great
at times we may
even think
we must
be going insane
We do not
see
the total
picture
as our life
is painted
on the
painter's mat
We did not
see
the purpose
of this hurt
and pain
in all
this combat
But please
let me
tell
you
as you
face your
life
this way
You will
not be
disappointed
with the results
I have
more to say
No need
to
stuff
all your
feelings anymore,
in you,
deep inside
You do not
have to be afraid,
to run away
and hide
It is time
to get down and
get dirty
with all
the pain you
bear
It is okay
to stop
the struggle
and find someone,
with your pain to share
Over time
you will come
to realize you
were never really
alone . . .
Many of us
have gone
before you and
our past
we
did atone.
