Lonely Soldier
I am
a lonely
soldier in this
world today,
I have
something
on my mind, I'd
like to share and say.
The road
I take is less
traveled right from
the very start.
I keep
my eyes on
my Commander and
wait for Him to impart.
Some would
say I'm fanatical
and radicle at my best,
But,
journeys
on this lonely
road present many a test.
My sword
is pulled during
confrontation and there
is a fight,
With the
many demons
who try to hinder
me, they scatter and
take flight.
The war
I fight is
not with people
those of flesh and blood,
It is
with an unseen
enemy that tries to
come in, like a flood.
This
enemy's job
is to distract
me and get me off
my course,
My help
comes from my
Commander ... God,
He is my supplier and
my source.
For this
lonely soldier
I am on call twenty-four
and seven,
Ready
to do battle
with His orders,
sent ... straight from heaven.
