 A Room With A View

As I slowly walk around the room
I hear the voices of people as I pass by,
They talk loudly and without care
It is almost as though
They do not see me there,
As I walk toward a large wall
That fills one corner of the room
The beautiful canvas
That hangs upon it captivates me,
My eyes are drawn
Toward the cabin so small
Snowy mountain peaks surround it
With trees standing tall,
The blanket of snow beneath them
Looks cool and inviting,
While the bright light
From the small cabin
Nestled deep within the snowy ground
Seems to offer a sense of comfort to me,
The voices behind me become louder
Their muffled sounds do not distract me
From this simple place of beauty
That stands before me
