We As MenA poem from the novel "The Essence of Poetry II:Gerald's Sophomore Yet Grown Poetrybook" Written by: Gerald L. Ingraham ---------------------------------------- It is time that we put our women first, No matter what situation we are in; They support us from worse to worst, And help us through thick and thin. It is time that we show them we care About what they do for and to us everyday; Our women always be just right there In times of need to kiss our pains away. We as men, Must honor all of our ladies; We as men, Need to give a bit compense, We as men, Although it sounds crazy, We as men, Know it inside it makes sense. It is time that we give back for the love, That they give forth well to us so true; As we place no other person thereof, We must appreciate everything they do. It is time that we admit we are a tad lost And we need them to find a way through; After all they do for us, we pay this cost, Once we say truthful our own thank you. We as men, Must honor all of our ladies; We as men, Need to give a bit compense, We as men, Although it sounds crazy, We as men, Know it inside it makes sense. It makes a lot of sense, When we want to love at night; It makes a lot of sense, When we want a kiss so right. We as men... It makes a lot of sense, When we want to slowdance; It makes a lot of sense, When we want a romance. We as men... It makes a lot of sense, When we want to raise a child; It make a lot of sense, When we have ideas so wild. We as men... We as men, Need to thank our women...
