Like Father Like Son

John 5:19-23

The Son is unable in doing anything alone,
He is able only when the Father is chaperon;
What the Father does the Son as the same,
As the Word of the Father He will proclaim;
For the Father has eternal love for the Son,
Letting the Son see everything He has done;
Allow to see even greater work than these,
So you may be full of wonder sure to please;
The Son gives life just as the Father gives,
To who He is pleased and freely forgives;
Judging men not in the hands of the Father,
Rather of decision by the Son and no other.
Like Father like Son footsteps He follows,
A mirrored image to stay in His shadows;
But the Father has given Him a job to do,
Christ is to weigh judgment on me and you;
Before forgiveness declared in guilt of sin,
Appear before Christ to be cleansed within;
Giving honor and praise to the Holy Trinity,
To the Spirit, the Father and Son divinity.
