Birth and Growth
( Though this piece is a little awkward, I was trying to the start of life, and to show the horizon in which the eyes of a child sees.)
I feel, I swim
it is warm
so I will be
I grow and kick
till I am free.
Where freedom begins
the cold it comes
With giant hands
a slap and its begun.
A first breath
then the cry
Where can I be
a land of insanity?
In the presence of giants
naked as can be
Searching for security
still remaining free.
Yet! what is this
so soft and secure
In mothers arms
I will endure.
I grow and learn
what I will be
The captain of a ship
sailing an empty sea.
Or will I find a path
that no one has ever known
Forging through ignorance
finding my own unknown.
