Spiritual Poems To Touch The Heart
IF I
As the sun shines cross the ocean
theres a path that leads to me,
If I could walk on water
I would run across the sea.
If I could touch the sun
and let it warm my frozen soul,
I'd embrace it with both my arms
and fill this gaping hole.
If I could drink the ocean
to wash away all my sin,
I would drink til I could drink
no more,rest, then start again.
If the shore could break my will,
the way that it calms each wave,
I'd cast myself upon it,
I would beg to be it's slave.
If I could fly like a seagull
high up in the sky,
I'd fly far from by burdens
all my cares I'd kiss good-bye.
If I just knew the creator
who created everything,
I know that He could do all this
and peace to my soul He'd bring.
Since I met the Savior my soul
has been set free,
I've learned to walk on water
I've run across the sea.
