Spiritual Poems To Touch The Heart

Finding Me

I looked in the mirror
this morning,
thinking, who is this woman I see?
It seemed it was only yesterday
that she feared this day would come.
Where did all the years go?
When did this child
become a woman?
The lines on her face
are cherished
each one was well earned.
Wisdom has embraced
her heart,
therefore she no longer
fears tomorrow.
The choices she now makes,
make sense now.
Loneliness is no longer
her enemy,
somehow they became best friends.
The need to be accepted
is replaced,
by accepting others
in the reality of who they are!
She finally likes herself
because
it doesn't matter
who doesn't.
People pleasing has been
exchanged for
giving pleasure to whoever
God puts in her path,
with no strings attached.
With all these thoughts
She pondered
the reason for all that she saw.
Was a prayer that she found
in her Bible
She had written many years ago.
She asked God to make her a woman
a woman with wisdom
that fears nothing
but life without Him.

"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that fears
the Lord, she shall be praised" Proverbs 31:30
