A tribute to a soldier that has came home
I listen to them play his song.
He left his country to fight a war
Freedom is what he fought and died for,
Now he doesn't need to fight a more.
As he lands on heaven's peaceful shore.

He paid the highest price or freedom to live.
He didn't think twice,
When it was his life to give.
He has now found his way past the star.
He never knew he would go so far,
He follows the soldiers that has gone before,

They give him a 21-gun salute, to say goodbye,
He came home today,
His sacrifice was high, for freedom he would pay.
He looked down from heaven to
See his mother cry.
He was too young to die, on a foreign land
Somewhere all alone,
They found a dying soldier
Laying in the foreign sand
And they sent him home.
