Repeated Essay

Can you hear me talking Ant?
Do you catch my tears?
Can you hold me tight at night?
Do you whisper in my ears?
Sometimes I feel your presence,
Close by but not enough,
I still want you as I always have,
And that's what makes it tough,
Not a day goes by when your off my mind,
My love will never fade,
I dread the steps I take each day,
Along the path which fate hath laid,
Each morning is repeated,
My thoughts of you go on,
The nights are comforted with tears,
My babe where have you gone?
I need you baby,
No-one understands,
I'm expected to be over you,
And get on with life's demands,
I pretend for the sake of our children,
Until in their beds they sleep,
The nights then last forever,
And it is then I begin to weep,
I cry for our future,
I cry for our past,
Please send some sort of sign Ant,
Of how long this repeated essay will last.
