Our Front Door

It will be that time soon babe,
When I must let go of our past,
I must move on and be strong,
And this time I must last,
In order to achieve this,
I must make a fresh start,
I must accept that you are gone,
I must accept we are apart,
That's easier said than done, I know,
But it is what I have to hack,
I have to let go of you,
For you are never coming back,
I love this house of ours,
It's our family home,
But although it still holds our children,
It makes me feel so cold and alone,
I'll never forget what we had here,
I'll never regret a word said,
I'm still constantly having a conversation with you,
Aloud in my head,
So much of me wants to go back,
And share our life again,
But I know I can't do that,
And it's causing me so much pain,
So I'm going to take our children,
And raise them in a way to make you proud,
We'll walk with our heads held high,
And our voices no other than loud,
But know I will always be thinking of you,
As I walk life's tour,
And I will never ever stop loving you,
Even after I finally close 'OUR FRONT DOOR'.
