Written Advice

I John 2:12-17

I am writing to my children, sins forgiven,
For through His name you inherit Heaven;
I am writing to the fathers of such wisdom,
Knowing Christ sends you to His Kingdom;
I am writing to young men tempted by evil,
Do not become overwhelmed by the devil;
A letter to the children about our Father,
Heed your knowledge of God to go farther;
A letter to fathers with knowledge of God,
That since the start you honor and laud;
Letters to young men, for you are strong,
That the Word of God remains in you long;
Have no love for the world or its things,
Rather love the Father and what He brings;
For lust of the flesh and eyes makes pride,
Not of the Father or His Word to abide.
I write this for those with earthly desire,
Along with everything that you acquire;
For if you are trying to love two lords,
You may just loose Heavenly rewards,
