Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Everyone makes mistakes

I remember when you told me to change,
And I wrote about it.
And when you said you hated me,
I wrote about that too.
If I didn't love you,
I wouldn't waste my time,
But my love for you is everlasting,
And truthful.
That is why I write about you.

I wouldn't consider you the top shelf,
I wouldn't call you the greatest.
I would rather mention that you are flawed,
And love you despite the fact.
I'm not saying that I was perfect,
But I wasn't greedy or selfish either.
I'm not saying that you were awful,
But you weren't fragile or sad.

We are just people.
I would rather love you and all your flaws,
Then pretend to love you and your lack of defects.

Everyone makes mistakes.
I wish you would remember that
The next time I make one.
