City of GoldWhen the road you walk grows lonely, When you walk alone in the cold, When the cross you carry grows heavy, and you can no longer bare the load, When your heart grows weary, When things of this earth grow old, Remember the story that's told, There is a City of Gold, At the end of the rainbow,at the end of the road. Keep on walking toward the light, Keep your eyes open in the dark night, Someday you will be at the end of the road, To a city of glory,a city of gold. Not everyone will make it ,Ive heard them say, Some will lose and fall on the way, If I go down let it be on my knees to pray, For God's hand to hold,to lead the way, For this soul, to find the rainbow, at the end of the road, and the city of glory, the city of gold, Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
