Many Traps, In Our Lives, TodayWe have so many traps in our lives today, These traps (addictions) hold us, in this place to cope, and at bay. We pop pills to get high or for a headache and then, We smoke cigarettes and anything else, to calm our nerves when, Something happens to cause us stress Really all this is, is an inward battle, we must confess. Like in our relationships, we want to be accepted and loved, So, what we may do, is love way too much, then we may get shoved. So ... To cope with this we drink a glass or maybe a bottle of wine, Then, over time we have to drink more and more to get high, we find. There is also the sex issue, which ohhhhh, makes us feel so good, We have to get it and have that feeling and even though, it may hurt anyone in our path, we would. Some will stick their finger down their throat and purge But, this trap is very destructive and much will emerge, So many health problems they do not need, Different thinking and healthy nutrition are what is needed to lead. We need to all realize, these are all traps sent our way, meant to destroy, I call these traps, tricks with no treat, that steal our joy. We must, go a step forward and be willing to admit and confide, We live a way of life, that is, very destructive, it only loses its power over us, when we stop . . . trying to hide.
