Marry Me

Said the monkey
To the elephant,
Will you marry me.
You can sleep
Each night so snug,
Beneath my
Nice big tree.

Said the elephant
To the monkey,
Yes I will agree.
But every morning
When I wake,
I must have my
Cup of tea.

So the monkey
Went and bought
Tea bags,
And the biggest
Kettle ever,
So that his
Darling elephant,
Would leave him,
Never, never!

Joy Weare.
