The Plan of God

Isaiah 49:1-4

Give an ear O land and sea and take note,
For people both near and far that I wrote,
Being marked out by God from the start,
Still just a twinkling in my mother's heart;
He already planned my name in His mind,
Come out of the womb upright and kind;
His hand a shield my mouth a sharp sword,
Growing up while I was studying His Word;
He made me like a polished arrow hidden,
As a servant His glory seen not forbidden;
Loss of strength God takes up my cause,
Rewarding me He picks me up as I pause.
He knows of us even before we are born,
As well to know when others will mourn,
He already knows just what is to impend,
The alpha and omega, beginning and end;
Everything that happens is preconceived,
All successes and failures to be achieved;
For your life is totally guided by His hand,
Talk to God and see what He has planned,
