TwinsHaunted in my dreams someone calling me. I can't find them anywhere shadows are all I see. Each night the voice more frantic the face is coming clear. I don't understand its me alone in fear. No not me, but looks like me have we ever met? She's begging me when I wake her pleas I won't forget. I told this to my mother a tear slid down her cheek. She sat down at the table it took all she had to speak. She said she was your sister your own fraternal twin. She died when you were tiny and I've held it all within. You searched for her endlessly crawling here and there. Your crying for your sister was more than I could bare. You finally slept through the night so I tucked her things away. But I knew I'd have to tell you of her again one day. Trying hard to end your grief I never spoke her name. And removed her baby picture from the left side of the frame. Now she's calling out to you so tired of being alone. Lets set her memories out and give her back her home. I visit her grave often and in my dreams at night. I see a happy smiling face She tells me she's alright. by...Debbie In Loving Memory of Diane Catherine Trent my twin sister Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
