My life is a raging river
Sometime I come close to the shore,
God is the great forgiver,
He reaches out for me once more.
Sometime I try to reach the life preserver,
and touch the rim so close,
The only thing that saves me,
Is when I touch the hem of God's robe.
I fall on the wayside, on a long lonely road,
Sometime my heart feels like it's grown so cold.
I wonder why I'm living ,I've wondered that before,
Sometime I feel unforgiving, and lost from heaven's door,
I feel God reach out once more
On the wayside as the light grows dim I find a rose.
The only thing that saves me,
Is when I touch the hem of His robe.
Sometime My life feel's like Hell's torment,
Than I reach for God,
I need only to reach as far as His garment,
To find the trail that angels have trod.
I'm at the edge of a garden
where with God's whim I have pardon.
