Roots of TrustJeremiah 17:5-8 Cursed is the one, who puts faith in a man, As he turns away from God and His plan; He'll be like the tree planted on the hill, Not seeing good come no purpose to fulfill; A blessing putting his faith into the Lord, Whose hope the Lord is in the same accord; He will be like a tree planted by a stream, No fear of heat very green in high esteem; Even in a dry year and still bearing fruit, Because of water through a spreading root. Roots of trust reaching out for to survive, So the fruit for a harvest able to thrive; Your roots extend they handle the stress, That will give you a harvest of success; As roots grow they will build their trust, Keeping you from sin and forms of lust; Building a trust in the Heavenly Father, Also is into His Son who is our Brother; For the faith leans on His love to radiate, As the roots of trust from sin to liberate.
