Father Forgive Them

Father, forgive them,
for they know not what
they do.

They seem
to not understand,
we were sent here, for
such a time as this, by You.

We do not mean
harm, to one person alive,

But we do
seek to do Your
will on the earth, this
is what we strive.

We are
like them,
we have sinned
against You and lived
our own life,

But Lord,
you took a hold
of our heart You drove,
out the strife.

We cannot
speak words
that will tickle their ears,

We want
them to know,
it is You they must
love, respect and fear.

We are
only human
that, You chose
us to be,

Lord why
do they not
open their eyes
and see You, in me?

We understand
their question's Lord,
They do not
want to be deceived,

They are
testing the spirit,
and
Your word
that they do receive.

Lord speak
to their heart,
cause them to see,

You brought us
up, for such a time
as this, and taught us to be,

One who honors You
and Your will on this earth,

In our heart
you taught us
and You gave us life,
a rebirth.

Love is
easy Lord
when we display
it to just one,

You sent Jesus,
He came down from
You, He died for us, He
was Your Son.

He asked You,
Father forgive them,
for they know not what
they do,

Lord what
I see, over the
last two thousand years,
many are still doing the same
things too.

What will it
take to get them to see?

You have
people You
grew up, who
went through hell,
who know You intimately.

Lord I know
that we are different,
we are of a different kind,

But if they
could see inside
our heart, I know that
they would find,

The love
for them, that
You have placed,
on the inside of me

People are
so suspicious,
when one comes
on the scene speaking differently.

So Father be
with us as
we see a new
dispensation that
does come,

Father
I pray for
Your people,
forgive them, falling
away will be for some.

I can
see Lord
we have much
work to do,

Keep us safe
as we go about
Your business in
this earth too.

We have
one agenda
and that is to do
Your will on this earth
my Lord,

Gather your
strength, the day
is here, the battles have
begun, take up your sword.

We do not
battle with flesh
and blood only with
principalities in the air,

We bind the evil,
we speak life into your
spirit, we have the audacity
and we dare.

We come
against the forces
of darkness that covers
the eyes of some,

We speak
life into their
spirit and flesh,
We bring the fire
of the Lord, His power
in us does come.

Please
do not take
this word lightly,
your very soul is at stake,

Come alive
in the name of Jesus,
Put on your battle gear,
Us - He
will not forsake.
