Christmas Madness!Well it's finally here! Yes, it's Christmas day! The turkey's in the oven… And the kids are all at play! Santa came in the night, Down the chimney he did sweep! But he made sure to be quiet, Cos the kids are all asleep! He came in the early ours of the morning, And left the presents around the tree… Then suck back up the chimney, In time to have his tea! For on Christmas Eve he has no time… To eat or drink all day, Cos he's on a mission to deliver…! All the toys from a very long way! You see he lives in the North Pole, And that's far across the sea! And all that work and travelling… To deliver gifts for you and me! Night time draws in closer, Time to rest our head… Cos after all, when said and done, We all need to go to bed! Cos Xmas eve we never sleep, Cos we are so excited… Can't wait until Santa's been… With presents to make us delighted! So here we are at the end of the day, Tired, and ready for bed… For after all the food and games… We are knackered, it has to be said. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
