Silence is BrokenAs I slowly wander Through this enchanted forest My thoughts are distracted for a brief moment, By the sound of car wheels Speeding down the road Franticly searching for Their new destination, While I pass through the forest With overpowering trees Green leaves gently frolic With the breeze, Long trunks stand firm Beneath each tree Protecting these great wonders, I cannot help feeling captivated By this beautiful piece of nature Which stands tall and proud Before me, With the fresh smell Of Eucalyptus in the air Other people now have begun To invade the forest, Each in their own way Enjoying the view, The trees don't seem To mind the intrusion As their branches dance freely to the music Of the wind By Julia 21-11-2004 Vote for this poem
