She Wanted To Say Goodnight.

She wanted to say goodnight to you,
Because she has really missed your chatter,
Hoping that you will return once more,
To meet up for another natter!

She has missed you so much,
Is lost without that face,
She needs to know you're coming back,
To settle in her special place!

You silently dwell inside her heart,
And settle in her head,
She needs to whisper goodnight to you,
Before she settles down for bed!

So as she slumbers on,
She's thinking about your smile,
And as she hugs her thoughts of you,
She's happy for a little while!

Patiently waiting for a greeting from you,
A smile, a whisper in her ear…
A dent in her heat, a missing beat,
Her mind not very clear!

‘Where have you gone to?' She whispers,
Whilst falling into sleep…
A smile on her face, a song in her heart…
And in a warm glow of love to seep…!
