Life's Ups And Downs.

I said it wasn't easy,
In fact it's ruddy hard,
Especially when it's our weight!
When we're like a lump of lard!

Dieting all the time,
And always on the go!
Exercising all the time,
And running to and fro!

Trying all our clothes on,
But none of them fit our bod!
We force and stretch and pull!
But it's nothing but a sod!

All the will in the world,
Won't make our body slim,
I'm afraid it's a sign of age,
And not a fight we'll win!

Of all life's ups and downs,
This is the one we lose!
Whatever our weight, this is our fate,
But not one that we'd chose!

So we may as well forget it,
It isn't worth the strife!
Give it up, don't sweat it!
And just get on with life!
