Power To The Pen…Yes, I have to say it… Its power to the pen, Being a poet is just great! I'm being prolific once again! My mind is like a crater, it is! It's full of stuff inside, I can't stop writing, its pretty frightening… And I can't run, and can't hide! The power in this pen of mine… Well, it's really off the scale, I wake up with poems in my head! And I'm feeling a little pale! I'm writing this, writing that, Oh blimey what a show! As soon as I wake up of a morning, Me pen's all ready to go! A powerful pen is this, It never runs out of ink, For I have to be quite honest here, It's a computer that I use, I think? I really can't be too sure of that, For I seem to never stop my flow, It's a case of open my eyes… And then power to my pen, cos off I go! I thought about psycho therapy, But me councillor said to me; ‘Catherine, I love your work! Cant you sort out a book for me?' Cor blimey I thought to meself, She really aint much use! I couldn't even respond to that! Cos it would be a word so profuse! So then I tried hypno therapy, And thought I'd sorted that! But she loved me poems too! Oh, cor blimey, oh drat! So I guess I was on a losing streak, Cos they all want me to continue to write, And cos of that, I have to say… I've done that many poems I look a sight! I have them in me head all day, I see them in me sleep! And when I can finally nod off a little, Dawn has usually begun to creep!
