When Seasons Come And Go…When seasons come and go, And change is all about, The weather tells its own tale, As Mother Nature shakes the weather out! She will alter the spring to summer, And autumn into winter too, For she is a wise old Mother Nature, And she knows what she needs to do. So spring all the flowers begin to bloom, And the sun starts peeping through the sky, Birds of a feather, flock together, And we hear their songs as they fly. We know that summer will come to pass, As once more the days become longer for us, Sunshine, warmth and contentment, Mother Nature makes no fuss. She just works away in the background, Setting about the day from night, Hail, rain, cold and warmth, Some dull, and some so bright. She continues on and summer passes, Then autumn sneaks in once again, The sun and warmth fade away, And we see the cold weather once again. Flowers lose their petals, And they curl up and hide away, There they'll stay until they flourish again, One bright sunny day! The leaves fall from the trees almighty, Crunching crisply underfoot on the ground, The barren leaves tell a tale, For winter can now be found. Cold sets in, and wind and rain, The sky now drab and dull, Winter takes a hold once more, And the nights now earlier will dim. The cold bites as we try to stay warm, Sitting round the fire, we all snuggle together, And darkness settles in much sooner, So we stay home out of the cold weather. And as Mother Nature smiles from the sky, She knows she has done her job well, For once again, the seasons came and went, As only the change in the seasons can tell… Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
