It's Nearly Here! It's Santaaaaaaa!!!It's getting late I'm in a state, and I don't know what to do! Cos Santa's coming soon, to leave presents for me and you! I made the list for the kids and sent it off, to lap-land in the North Pole, I asked Santa for a dolly, and a football with a goal! But it's nearly here I'm in a state, cos the Xmas tree fell on the floor, The decorations got torn up, where they were hanging over the door! The cat clawed at the Xmas tree, the baubles went everywhere, And all the time the children laughed, cos they didn't really care! The house is all messed up, nothing's where it should be, Instead of being on the floor, you should see the Xmas tree! It's in mid flight between the ceiling and floor, all twisted and bent and such! Oh cor blimey and sugar plumbs, this is just way to much! I have to get it sorted, put the tree near the table, Add the baubles and tinsel, as fast as I am able! I need to put the mince pies on a plate, and leave a glass of milk too, For Santa gets hungry and thirsty, will all the work he has to do! I'm in a panic I'm in a sweat, cor blimey what have we done! Everything's totally messed up, this Xmas thing is supposed to be fun! So yes, I have to make haste, and sort it out quite fast, Cos the clock is ticking the time away, its Xmas eve and twelve half past! I have to hurry up, and do the job in a short wiz, Cos after all, when said and done, I'm feeling in a twiz! For on Xmas morn when Santa's due! And we see him in the sky When he peeps through our window, he's going to pass us by! So all in haste we make amends, and fix the decorations and the tree, Put them back over the door way, and still have time for tea! So now the children are all in bed, snoozing as they dream of toys, And I'm going to make the best of it, because on Xmas morn there'll be lots of noise! And golly I'm relieved! Xmas eve is over once more, Cos I am totally shattered now, and wow, Santa's at the door!!!! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
