Of all the times of year
Christmas brings us the best of humanity
Respect and understanding
helping more than money or a gift
Kind words and a smile
helps the lost find a way home
Not the home we know
the warmth of home within ones self, Belief.
I have traveled the lanes and highways
been across the seven seas
I have flown to the edge of clouds
to find what I could see
I have found individuals
who make Christmas a year long place
Who dries the tears of children
to uplift a saddened face.
These individuals live everywhere
yet to few it seems to me
For the power of the smile is limited
when sighted all things gleam
It melts the snow upon the heart
lifting the spirit from the mire
It is only effect to those
whose belief give it the power.
I hear a carol calling
that sings upon the wind
Bringing the Santa's from everywhere
to deliver those Christmas dreams
Yet, dreams occur all year long
where need has paved a way
So fill the charity within your heart
giving what is needed in a loving way.
