Leading the Faithful

Hebrews 13:7-12

Remember those that are in the authority,
Giving you the Word of God as a priority;
Consider their faith and type of lifestyle,
See if they can face a crisis with a smile;
Jesus Christ is the same with each day,
By strange teachings do not turn away;
It is good your heart is strong by grace,
Not filled up on meat to feed your face;
The altar is for a priest that is a servant,
Not to bring food since not a restaurant;
Rather for blood of beast taken within,
Into the holy place as an offering of sin;
For this reason Christ hung on the cross,
Making people holy from His blood loss.
We look to spiritual leaders of the church,
To help us and guide us within our search;
They are to be an example of all the rest,
Guiding us through the Word to their best;
Pastors, chaplains and priests are to serve,
Leading the faithful to a Heavenly preserve.
