The Change, What Change?

What'll happen now…
Now I've had me ‘op,
All me hormones are up the wall,
They've caught me on the hop.

Flushes by the minute,
Sweating all the time,
Blowing hot and cold all day,
And I'm not feeling fine.

Sitting by the fire,
But the fire isn't on,
I'm red hot the family are cold,
This isn't any fun.

Going as red as a beetroot,
From me neck to the top of me head,
Hot and bothered…and sweating cobs,
It's what all women dread.

Everybody laughing,
Cos I'm having another flush,
It's like me bloods gone haywire,
And to me head it'll rush.

I'm snappy at the family,
Shouting at the cat,
All in all, being a nark,
Well I'm not having that!

The specialist told me after the ‘op,
‘In four weeks, I'll see you again,
‘Cos by the time four weeks is up,
‘You'll be going insane!'

Well I wondered what he meant,
But I found out real quick,
It's me blasted hormones,
Into the change with a kick!

I went back to clinic,
And hell, was I real bad,
With flushes galore and in a spin,
I WAS TURNING INTO A LAD!

Hairs a growing on me legs,
And looking like a man,
A muzzy where there should be none,
But I shave it when I can.

So replacement patches at the ready,
To settle me body again,
Yes…I really do agree,
THE CHANGE OF LIFE'S A PAIN!
