Dreaming

I awoke the other night
From my peaceful sleep
For I had a beautiful dream
That was really quite unique,

I dreamed I was floating on a cloud
With a unicorn by my side
We drifted over many lands
And traveled far and wide,

From this journey in my sleep
I saw many wonderful things
Hidden valleys and magical castles
Built for queens and kings,

Lakes full of diamonds
Such a sparkling glow
Beaches covered with soft sand
White like new fallen snow,

I knew the day was dawning
It was time for my dream to end
Maybe if I lay here
For just one more moment
I will drift off again
