Just bring me your heart

Just bring me your heart

I followed the star, On a cold December night,
I was so alone, Until I saw the star shine bright,
The flame was like a hot burning ember,
As I heard the angels sing, I remembered,
The king,
I  found what I for so long have searched for,
I found the Christ Child  under the Christmas star.
I walked on a road angel's have trod,
Looking for peace in my soul, searching for God,
I had no gift to bring, no gold,
But I found the king while I was out in the cold,
alone in the dark, and I heard Him say,
Just bring me your heart. on Christmas Day.
There were lights adorning the road,
As I walked alone on the road, I heard God say,
Just bring me your heart on Christmas Day
I found a gift more precious than gold,
Shining like a star in the dark,  I heard God say,
just bring me  your heart on Christmas Day
I had nothing I could share
My pockets were empty my cupboards were bare,
I whispered to God my silent prayer,
Father you know I really do care,
On your trail I'm about embark,
God hear the prayer I pray,
Shining like a star in the dark, I heard God say,
Just bring me your heart on Christmas Day.
