I'll Be Standing There
When you lay upon your pillow at night,
Cuddled beneath the blankets of your bed,
I'll be guarding your dreams,
As I stand beside your bed.
If I ever witness sadness,
And hear you softly weep,
My arms will caress you,
Until you're absorbed in sleep.
If I see you sleeping quietly,
I'll peacefully smile down.
You'll never know that I'll be there,
For I'll shed no sound.
When you lay upon your pillow at night,
And think horrid thoughts within your head,
I'll still be guarding your dreams,
As I stand beside your bed.
