On Sunday

On Sunday I saw
Dingoes dancing,
Peacocks prancing,
Rats romancing
And chickens chancing.

On Monday I saw
Monkeys munching,
Leapards lunching,
Crayfish crunching
And pandas punching.

On Tuesday I saw
Weasels weeding,
Sparrows speeding,
Raccoons reading
And lions leading.

On Wednesday I saw
Whales winking,
Blackbirds blinking,
Thrushes thinking
And serpents sinking.

On Thursday I saw
Catfish cooking,
Lizards looking,
Snails sooking
And bisons booking.

On Friday I saw
Possums pacing,
Rabbits racing,
Cheetahs chasing
And turkeys tracing.

On Saturday I saw
Badges brushing,
Rhinos rushing,
Hippos hushing
And goats gushing.

Next week I think
I'll buy a new
Pair of glasses!

Joy Weare.
13th December, 2004.
