In this poem, hear my voice
My saviors' birthday makes me rejoice
I praise his name all year long
His love for me is my heartsong
I hung a picture that's "The Listener"
It's among my favorites of my divine savior
I wonder where in this world I'd be
If my Lord Jesus hadn't saved me
In my earlier years
I cried many tears
I was mentally and physically abused
Then in later years I was saved,no longer confused
My Mama was single and done the best she could
Unbeknownst to her ,ones she trusted were'nt so good
I still grieve from missing loved ones
Yet with my Lord in my heart I'm never alone
For someday I'll celebrate with them and my host
In the mansion my Lord has prepared,my heavenly home
You saved me from a tormented life
You've helped me through much pain and strife
Thank-you for giving me a choice
I'm grateful that I hear your voice
Happy Birthday ... My Jesus!
