We took the new steam car to Lundun
We did the journey in less than a day.
Kinstownehull to Lundun
Non stop all that way!!
We arrived in time for dinner
Then a stroll out in the night.
The city is such a picture
With the new street lights;
They say it s made by magnets
I really just don't know,
But the streets look so pretty
Under warm orange glow.
We saw the start of the excavations
That will circle the city round.
Roads for special steam carts
That will carry us underground.
How much more can we progress
Life is getting so very fast
Sure these good times can't
In Peace continuously last.
We walked past the palace
But didn't see the queen
Or the Dowager Dyannne
The most popular Regent
This country had ever seen.
She held the country stable
Till her son came of age
And took his rightful place
On the world's central stage.
Our car fare covered the journey,
Dinner and a one night stay,
Then early after breakfast
We started on our way.
The world is getting smaller
How wonderful if it can end
With all the world as one
And every man a friend.
