Christmas Wrung Dry'Tis sad when this season goes by Another Christmas has been wrung dry Bled for its every ounce of zest Almost a year until strangers are blessed. The annual time when old underwear's shed Everyone has clean skivvies for bed Holey and dingy socks are discarded Everyone's been fully Wal-marted. Stockings ripped off of the chimmney without care Filled with toothpaste and Suave shampoo for the hair The garbagemen will be in tinsel up to their ears Grateful Christmas is just once a year. The kids will soon return back to school. Anticipation of this makes all parents drool. The dog has it's new collar Fresh treats made him holler. The formerly looming relatives have all been sent away Absence will truly make the heart fonder on this day. Christmas goodies and scraps are gone for good Finally we can return to more normal food The sugar buzz of the kids has started to fade New toys are being destroyed more slowly this day I don't mean to be lacking Christmas cheer but I am glad it's almost a new year!
