I got a missive from my ex a couple of days ago,
She let me know how she missed the good old days;
Well, I'd say with confidence that I moved on already,
Because luckily, I found the right one for me.
We lived-in in secrecy for almost four consecutive years,
I didn't wanna come out of the open at that time;
So even if I still have feelings I then let her go,
For she was not worth the risks nor the trouble as well.
I thought I could not get over her anymore,
Because it's hard for me to kinda adore anyone;
For 14 long years, I was in susceptible shackles,
Assuming it is still her I wanted all my life.
Then you came along unannounced and I did realize,
That it was not her whom my heart craves for;
Because when I met you I felt something wonderful,
And my life has never been the same again....
