Great Walls Of Water
Great walls of water
So savagely wash
Edges of the land,
Without any thought
Of heart beats and smiles,
And those hand in hand.
Great walls of water
So savagely wash
This paradise of bliss,
This morning perfection,
And change it all into
A gushing, drowning hiss.
Great walls of water
So savagely wash
Homes and playgrounds,
Echoing Christmas cheer,
And turn happy chatter
Into ear piercing sounds!!
Joy Weare.
2nd January, 2005.
